Working Together As One Productions is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization, created to change lives through dramatic presentations. W.T.A.O. Productions creates, performs and professionally produces Christian and inspirational plays based on real-life characters who address relevant issues affecting our society.  Inspirational drama is the means by which we effect positive change in individuals, families, churches and communities.  Additionally, our theatrical productions provide opportunities for up and coming actors and actresses to develop and utilize their talent.  Although many of our productions give voice to the African American perspective, our Christian themes are universal. We present quality family entertainment for whole communities at large.

Working Together As One Productions first got started in 1989, and at that time we performed skits and plays at different churches around the Houston, Texas, area.  Since our inception, we have written and produced more than sixty original skits, sketches, one-act plays, poems, and full length productions.  Many of which are still being performed at different churches, schools, special events, social gathering, and summer projects throughout the Houston, Texas, area and in the surrounding counties. We estimate that we have performed for hundreds of individuals.  In addition, our plays create opportunities for children, young adults, and adults to develop and display their talents in all theatrical aspects.  Our drama, dance, and music encourage others, as well as help others to develop their own talents.

Debra L. Atkins, the Writer and Director of So Many Secrets, So Many Lies; I’m Sorry I’m Not Good Enough; Still Not Good Enough; Family Secrets; Everybody’s Man, Everybody’s Woman, and When Love Walks Away, is back again, with the hit gospel stage play “One Good Man” that is coming back to Houston by popular demand!

Tyrice Livingston in today’s society would be considered a rare commodity in this day and time when it comes to having a good man, first because he truly loves God, his wife and kids and he always tries hard to do the right thing in the sight of the Lord, especially after God allowed him to survive a horrible car crash in the past, he’s now become totally committed to serving the Lord with his whole heart , but his wife Phoebe thinks he has become overly spiritual and even a little boring, and because she wants more excitement and fulfillment out of life, she decides to leave him for another man.

Even though this play is the sequel to hit stage play “When Love Walks Away,” this play independently stands along with a brand new plot, a new cast and a new story line that now focuses on the marriage of Tyrice and Phoebe.  “One Good Man” ministers greatly to anyone that is experiencing marital problems or anyone who is dealing with any type of broken relationships. Even though this play is very serious in nature, it is also filled with lots of comedy from other characters in the play.  Ultimately “One Good Man” is just a compelling love story about how one man has to defy all odds by trying to keep his faith and trust in God, as well as try and convince his family and friends why he is so determined to get his wife back.
